In support of the Healthy Kids Community Challenge, Food for Learning challenged all programs to BOOST the programs veggies and fruits during the month of October! The Healthy Kids Community Challenge is a part of Ontario’s Healthy Kids Strategy, which is a cross-government initiative to support children’s health.
Food for Learning indicated various fruits and vegetables, some popular and some not so popular to be served each day on October; the top two program that served the most indicated items would be awarded a prize!
Many programs rose to the challenge, the top schools included Madoc Public School and Coe Hill Public School. Congratulations and job well done to all schools who participated!
